Welcome

Rosetta Downs is a mixed farming operation producing angus beef and prime lamb as well as providing luxury farmstay accommodation for the discerning traveller. It has been held by the Chown family of Gippsland since 1869.
The property is located on the picturesque Latrobe River, some 2½ hours by road from Melbourne, 20 minutes by road to the large regional towns of Sale and Tralagon and a short 5 mintues drive to the country village of Rosedale. A regular train service runs to Rosedale a number of times each day.
Adjacent to the property is the Holey Plains State Park which teems with native flora and fauna. Wildlife can generally be seen in the early morning or around dusk both on the farm and in the State Park and there is a continuous array of native birdlife throughout the day.
A true working farm, Rosetta Downs also offers luxury farmstay accommodation for those who want to experience rural life but with a high level of comfort.
